Playground of Hope first built the playset at Sagamihara Minami Jidou Home in Fall of 2015. At the request of the home, we returned to do maintenance on the playset, as well as have a lunch BBQ with the children at the home. With a variety of volunteers, as well as some youth volunteers from the home, everyone worked hard to sand, repaint and clean-up the playset. We also served some delicious hamburgers and sausages for lunch together with the children at the home.
It is always great to revisit locations and reconnect with familiar faces and see the children grow!
We hope to return with a sponsor to help fix the grounds of the home in the future.
