What an honor to work together with NPO It’s Not Just Mud (INJM) to build a play set in Funakoshi, a beautiful fishing village devastated by the 3.11 tsunami. On 9/16 Saturday, we installed new play equipment at a new park in the newly built housing area.
On 9/17 Sunday, we had a lovely BBQ with everyone. It was the first time since the new housing area was built where everyone had a chance to get together! The community spirit was amazing, where everyone contributed delicious food, including local anago eel and hotate scallops. Thank you for sharing your warmth and hospitality with us.
We look forward to seeing more and more children and adults playing in Funakoshi!
